I'm gifting art to my Subscribers

I've created more than 10 posts since Waymarkers began. My goal was to write one a month, to justify the fee that I pay for the site to exist, and to test out the idea of a blog over a traditional website. Averaging three posts every month is a surprise. I know it's early on, and true habits can take years to form but, so far, so good.
Later this year, I want to leave Meta platforms altogether. I know, it sucks. They're fucking lunatics, ey? But considering I am not prepared to make reels, or make my content about my face, or talk into a mic, or put effort into monetising my posts, or do more than post photos when I can be bothered, I am not really at home there. Apart from learning cool stuff, meeting sound people and wasting a lot of time looking at mind-rot content, what have I got to lose by leaving Instagram?
It's that I don't want to go by myself. I would like to take some of you with me.
That's problem #1.
Here's problem #2: In my studio filing cabinet I have a thick wad of carefully packaged linoprints. I love printmaking (love-hate...) and these film-wrapped prints are from early explorations into self-directed art-making (I lost my job, I didn't want it back, I set up a studio in our spare bedroom and said, 'Here goes' - I'll write more about that someday probably).
I don't want the prints.
I'm not going to show them.
I'm not going to put them back in my Etsy store.
I want to gift them to you.
Do you want them?
Everyone who already subscribes to Waymarkers can have one if they want! SEND ME AN EMAIL AND WE'LL TALK TURKEY. If you're not in Aotearoa I would like a few NZD towards shipping.
The first 10 NEW Subscribers to Waymarkers will be gifted a print too*. You can all even choose which one you want. I might be able to gift more, but I haven't actually counted my stock so I'm being conservative for now.
It's my koha to you for being here.
So, to recap, YOU get a little art work and an email notification every time I make a new post here. And I get welcome company on my journey out of the Metascape and space in my drawers.
The wad and some items from within it.
If this publication continues I would like to have some Subscriber-only content too. Who knows what you might get then?
I'll finish with a photo of some of the prints. I'll dig out some more and share them in a few days.
This opportunity is open until Wednesday 19 February, 2025, so chuck your email in the box below (if you can't see a box it's because you're already a member 🤗).
*International Subscribers, again, I'll do my best for you but will ask for some shipping money. Let's have a chat about that.
